The Moderator Rev. Colin Sinclair will give the 2019 Marion Fraser Lecture.

Scotland’s Churches Trust is delighted that The Moderator is giving the 2019 Marion Fraser Lecture on October 10th, in his own Church at Palmerston Place at 7pm. (10 Palmerston Place, Edinburgh, EH12 5AA).

The Trustees of SCT are grateful to Rev Colin Sinclair, a Stirling University economics graduate, for finding the time in his very busy year to present this Lecture, named in honour of Lady Marion Fraser, a Trustee of SCT and great supporter before her sad death on Christmas Day 2016.

Marion, a former Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland was a significant figure across the Scottish voluntary and cultural sector and at the time of her death, she had the distinction of being the only woman from outside the Royal Family appointed to become a member of the Order of the Thistle, Scotland’s highest chivalric order.

The Moderator’s lecture is titled

The place of Church buildings in our emotions

The Lecture is bound to attract a large audience with doors opening at 6.30
